Synopsis
Follows Madeline Matlock as she re-enters the workforce at a prestigious law firm, where she uses her cunning tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing. A gender-swapped parody of the 1986 television series of the same name, Matlock (1986) stars Andy Griffith in the title role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock. For legal reasons, they had to credit Dean Hargrove as “based on the series Matlock.” In order for Matlock to be hired by a New York law firm, they would have had to verify her bar license status through one of three official mechanisms, all carefully managed by the state.
Remake of Matlock (1986)
This would have verified identity, address, current license status, disciplinary action, etc. I found episode 1 and watched it via streaming. It was brilliant.

When do we get to see the rest? We need a good series that’s engaging and entertaining. The plot so far is engaging and entertaining.
I have been waiting for this series since it was announced
The crafty Matlock has all the makings of a grandmother you want to keep an eye on and then she surprises you with her agility, her years of experience in understanding people and manipulating a situation to achieve her end goal. Kathy Bates is a brilliant actress and the rest of the cast isn’t bad either. My opinion as a woman on the street who loves a good thriller.
