Description
Students who have attended our previous courses know that we want to go deep into all the technologies we work on, and therefore to fulfill this need we develop courses in large series and this series of courses helps students to understand the technology itself with confidence. implement it in their company, prepare for and conduct interviews, and update their skills.
This SQL series consists of 3 courses that contain over 30 hours of intensive training. These courses are as follows:
Course 11: SQL Server 2019 Windows Server 2019 & Fail over cluster.
Course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux & Blue sky.
Course 13: SQL Server 2019 Administration.
Course outline:
Before reviewing the course outline, we would like to add a very important note that the network and infrastructure used in this course was created in the Course 1: Set Windows Server 2019 network – Microsoft series. developed so far.
Why did we do it?
Simply because we don’t want to waste your time creating the Source VM, network adapters, router and other infrastructure over and over again. We want to give you REAL TIME industry experience by integrating different technologies into one BIG NETWORK and it allows students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem solving.
Now let’s discuss the course plan in detail.
This is a SQL Fundamentals course for beginners consisting of theories and LABS.
This course is divided into 4 parts:
Segment 1: Preparing your network to install SQL SERVER 2019 on Windows Server
From part 1 to part 4 you will learn
– New Features of SQL Server
– Understanding the prerequisites for installing SQL Server 2019 on an existing network, which we created together in Course 1: Setting up a Windows Server 2019 network – Microsoft series
– Installing the first instance of one SQL Server 2019, SQL Server Management Studio
– Perform remote access and create snapshots.
Segment 2 : Arrange the basics according to the previous topics
From Section 5 to Section 9, this section will teach you the basics of a database. As a system administrator, you need to understand all the terminology related to databases in order to better manage the product. We will learn the basics of the following topics:
Module 1: “Introduction to Databases” introduces key database concepts in the context of SQL Server
Module 2: “Data Modeling” describes several data modeling techniques.
Module 3: Normalization introduces the concept of normalization and describes normalization and denormalization techniques.
Module 4: “Relationships” describes different types of relationships and their implications in database design.
Module 5: “Performance” describes the impact of database design on performance.
Module 6: Database Objects introduces commonly used database objects.
** Expect to have theories that might be a little boring
Segment 3: Doing hands-on with loads and loads of LABS
Part 10 is very interesting because we have prepared LABS (Project) so that you can practice all the concepts we learned together in part 2.
Segment 4: SQL Server 2019 Failure over clustering
Starting with Part 11, we will complete the following LABS
A- Create domain service accounts
B- Install the first error on the SQL Server 2019 cluster instance
C- Install 2nd File on a cluster instance of SQL Server
D- Test the reliability of the SQL Server 2019 Failover cluster.
E- Migrate a database from a single SQL Server 2019 to a SQL Server 2019 failover cluster for high availability.
After completing this course, you will be ready to complete the next course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux & Blue sky.
